Executive Summary of the Draft Determination
Broad Talking Points:
- I support the condition to transition the Residential New Construction Program to all-electric, and that incentives for fossil fuel equipment and appliances should be phased-out in alignment with the State's Climate goals, and also reducing health impacts associated with fossil fuel combustion in the home.
- I support the condition to strengthen workforce development to remove barriers to heat pump adoption and to deilver these programs in distressed municipalities.
- I support the condition that the federal weather assistance program should coordinate closely with the Home Energy Solutions - Income Eligible program, and further believe that the additional infrastructure investment in WAP could be best utilized by using the existing HES-IE infrastructure for weatherizing low-income homes.
